Slipping and sliding, then settling into you. You are warm, like summer nights. Your hair on my tongue, as you reach for a drink of water. I’m hungry for everything that lies beyond the walls around your heart. You sense my desire, and begin to speak; I am moved by your openness. I could get comfortable with this. How long can you keep it up? How long before you close off and water turns to poison you cannot escape? I want to hold you, forever in my gaze, cradled by love I freely give. Thank you for receiving. I know this is a gift. You are a firefly in my night sky; the light you cast flickers only for a little while. I cherish you while we struggle to make sense of it all. I don’t know how much further we can go, naked and hungry, but we can remember this time as a time of letting go...
