Dissolving Edges

Tranquility and joyous commotion,
passion and comfortable stillness,
inexplicable excitement!
I breathe in and out, 
trying to blend the edges of this dream
into an everyday reality
so I can flow in and out of wakefulness
smoothly in this joy.
I am taken by all that I sense 
and I cannot keep you 
from moving me.
Like a tide, 
you carry me;
your energy overflows and I swim 
through you and into you
and come up on top of the world!
I want to tell you all about 
the way I dance when the world is asleep
to the melody of your voice
echoing in the depths of my soul.
So I let the images flow 
knowing words would follow.
On occasion I take a moment 
to evaluate this profound lucidity,
and find myself under the sheets 
transforming visions into possibilities.
There is something magical 
about the height of these emotions
capable of transforming fear 
into faith
ever so delicately.
I am no longer cautious
about falling into the depths of your eyes.
Will you look at me?
I can feel your edges 
blending in with mine
and know we have found each other
once again.
We keep on moving through lifetimes,
changing shape,
until we dissolve into oneness
in each moment of connection.
I breathe in and out
and come out on top of the world.
